then came to undoing the brake line. problem. siezed and then rounded. out came the grinder.

next problem was in the shape of the top mount. one buzz gun later and hey presto.

Oh hai?! now, if you know about these, you'll know that the diff circlip can be a big problem in these, and was only really sorted in 2004 with the 182, where it had a bolt in diff. this has had a bolt in diff fitted...

refitted with 172 items, no pics?! lol

but new ride height:

Well... all in all., It VERKS.

One new brake line:
Image

Drivers side was built up, same as the passenger side so no pictures.
then as a temporary measure until my new bumper arrives i've gone back old school witrh bonnet pins. I also raised the torsion bar, but it seemks this car has voodoo or some shite going on as its stayed the same height both times lol.

New brakes turned up.

One slip with the grinder later...

:(

But, took it out on a drive, it needs tracking set up, but its VERY happy on turn in, wants to cock the rear wheel all the time, can do it at 15mph lol.

But overall list of modifcations goes like this:

Engine
PiperX airfilter(want to get an airbox)
Prowler Exh Mani
Full stainless including Tucks spec Tractor decat
172 Driveshafts
Mocal Oil cooler
More powah on the way...

Suspension
172 Shocks
172 Hubs
172 Wishbones
eibach proline springs

Wheels/tyres
Std williams speedlines
4x T1-r's to go on, I wasnt keen on them but hell you cant complain at £7.50/tyre.
